I must give the Lord praise for His name is higher than all names. His very name is finer than the finest gold, richer than all the riches seen by the eyes of man, impossible to fathom in the depths of my own imagination.  No spice or its very aroma plays sweeter to my senses than to speak and breathe the very name Elohim. Consumed by His comfort, without motion I am still, restored in His rest, my slumber undisturbed through His peace, by His strength I am guarded.

I will praise the Lord for His peace and comfort are in fullness and plenty. The universe itself couldn’t begin to hold the vast depths of His peace. He has given me the cup I bear, the very cup of my blessing He causes to flow continuously without ceasing, My Father’s graciousness never knowing an end.

My comfort dwells only under the wings of my Lord. Under His wing I find my Pavilion, my Shelter, my Rock, the perfection of my protection. In this perfection His majestic splendor remains eternally unmatched in both the Heavens and the Earth. Never will I find the comfort, or protection I find nestled under the bow of His wing.

My blessing is found only in my Father whose number one concern is the needs of His children. The smile I bear is the result of His love, the image of His smile upon my very face. He comforts me when my smile becomes a frown, when my confidence is shaken because of my self-doubt. Even before I am at my weakest point the Lord is there to comfort me and rejuvenate my very strength.

My Father will let no object come in the way of withholding His sovereign love, no void is to large, or abyss to deep for His divine peace to fall short of filling. In His peace I find my comfort, my safety from the unknown.  I am protected by His grace, His mercy, and His love. Within His arms no hurt will I ever know.

My Father is unlike any other Father, for in His majesty all things were created, for He is the Great Creator. None can compare or compete with even His simplest of creations. For even the simplest of His cells is more complex than the very galaxy in which it dwells. He is the beginning and the very Life that His hand as created.

The joy that my heart possesses is derived from the same heart where joy first began. The joy the Lord first felt when He breathed life into Adam through the will of His divine plan. Ever since the foundations of the Earth God has intended for His Joy is to reside in the heart of man. Without this unique component the heart is truly tormented, continuously grieved, and unbearable sad.

My father has accounted for every hot tear I have shed and understood the grief locked in each as they fell from my face.  Tears all to familiar to my Father who has also shed the tears of sorrow, the tears that were lost as His own Son hung nailed to a cross. Hung their rejected by man, who’s sin along with mine bore deep into the very skin of the Son of man, with tears and a few last pre-resurrection breaths Jesus still petitioned His Father to forgive the very men that nailed Him to the cross. Tears that flowed again when the Son resurrected in flesh and returned to glory to sit at the right hand of His Father.

My Father knows of every challenge I will face, every near defeat I will conquer through His strength that I have received. He has numbered every time Satan thought victory was imminent, only to re-enforce the hedge and snatch it from his grasp.  In my journey I will succeed, for the Lord will never give me more than I can handle. His Spirit thrives and rejoices when these various challenges and attacks I overcome by the blood of His Son. At the end of the race He waits to be the first to greet me, embrace me, and shower me with His praise. For by His strength this race I am able to victoriously complete.

Please take comfort in the joy that our Father is the Light, He is the Light that no darkness can ever seize. When darkness comes, when darkness is all you see, do as I do and open your eyes, by the Joy of the Lord all darkness will be gone. Hail to the King of Kings! God Bless! Daniel Eggers

I must be honest; my heart is heavy and full of the unshakable sense of urgency continuously causing me to seek the Lord for an answer.  I feel this is a message that I must share, please read and pray, seeking what the Lord will share with you in your own prayer time.

 

 I wish I could see the positive side of the news we are daily bombarded with, constantly taking in fresh economic data to only shortly realize the data is dead on arrival and the only place for it is six feet under in an already over flowing cemetery of dead bulls. Seeing the mass carnage I find myself stopping and thinking of the fat years, the days of harvest and plenty, when the very seldom-bad data was immediately trampled under the stampede of the raging bulls on Wall Street.  Now the once dominant herd of bulls seems to have succumbed to the ever-vicious disease of greed. This disease is 100% lethal, 100% of the time.

 

 The symptoms of this malignant disease may vary, but generally the initial symptoms may bring a false sense of euphoria, wealth, prestige, monetary bliss, and power, but these are just a few ingredients in the bitter-sweet outer coating, the real viral causing symptoms of the disease are found once this brief bitter outer coating is all but short lived.  The next symptoms are a mix between immediate and time released, causing a loss of fortune, bankruptcy, denial, finger pointing, failure to admit wrong doing, cold-sweats, and sure collapse, ultimately 100% cold icy death.

 

So who allowed this infectious disease to go unchecked? Whose fault is it anyways? Well, contrary to popular belief the current economic situation exacerbating this noxious disease of greed isn’t just brought on because of the Big 3, Fannie and Freddie, Bear Sterns, AIG, and fill in the blank company’s insatiable lust for greed, no, it is our nation as a whole living outside of our immediate needs.  Charge this, want that, grab, grab, grab, want, want, want, charge, charge, charge, you get the picture. Ironically the next shoe to drop will lay in the inability for the millions in this nation to pay back the multi-trillion dollars worth of outstanding personal debt, this is when the real pain will begin. 

 

So we are all in this together, all guilty in some way of contributing to this nation’s desire to want what we can’t have. I am guilty, I can think of 5 things right now that I currently have, or once owned that I didn’t need, or have really never truly needed, oh and I am certain I probably charged them all. I am currently doing the right thing through the intervention of some close council, now able to stare my financial demons in the face, ridding myself of these costly skeletons.  

 

I am only trying to bring to attention that we are in some ways guilty of the horrible sin called greed, some obviously more than others, but this isn’t a speck verses plank situation, what is done is done, we will either face the music or we will remain in denial until the disease has consumed our very last breathe. 

 

 We are beginning to see the root of the economic crises and the various reasons it has seemingly shattered to pieces, so what can we do to fix it? The answer is simply pray the people of our nation will be freed from their lust for greed, this idol of damnation, pray that the we will once again place the Lord as this nation’s cornerstone once again.  We must remember for this to happen the Lord will not and cannot regain His place if we have placed idol in His spot, the only way to replace this idol with the Lord is for the Lord to tear the idol down. We must pray that Lord will tear this idol down, He torn dagon down, He torn baal down, now He must tear these idols of greed and materialism down. The Lord God Almighty is the only cure for the disease that is consuming everything in the financial market, and soon the personal finances of every person in this nation. Some are already feeling the cold fingers of greed’s deathly grasp. I have hope, not just hope, but a promise that comes from the Lord God Almighty; it is in Psalms 91:9-16:

 

Because you have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place; There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come nigh your dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They shall lift you up in their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent will you trample under foot. Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. 

 

For this promise to become true we must make the Lord God our dwelling place, we must know His name and call upon Him in this time of deliverance.  In this day that we live there is not one of us who is free of the guilt of sin, we are all sinners, only when we realize we are sinners can we truly be saved from the sin that continues to constrict our souls from acknowledging our fault and receiving the blood spelt on Calvary’s cross.

 

If during this day of urgency, of divine chastising, spiritual awaking we would rather spend our free time watching TV, playing games, spending hours online and don’t spend an ounce of time with our Father in prayer and supplication, we will answer for every second we denied His call, denied His chance to come clean, and denied ourselves the opportunity to intercede for a nation and her people who are in desperate need of prayer. 

 

I cannot plead in any more earnest that we must all dwell in the shadow of the Lord, make the Lord God Almighty our dwelling place, petitioning for His peace and safety, because those during these final days of urgency who heed not the warning call to seek safety under the wing of the Lord, who would rather rely solely on their own feeble mortal strength, these will see the ultimate fall and painful destruction of everything they sought in vain to selfishly hold up that which cannot be held up against God’s divine wrath.

 

Please heed the Lord, make time daily to seek the Lord and His guidance. Seek out His will for your life, we all have the time, it’s only a matter of whether or not we make some for the Savior who had the time to bleed out, die, and carry the unfathomable weight of all our sin upon his beaten and torn shoulders. This is truth, this is a warning, and this will be a turning point for some.  God Bless! Daniel Eggers

 

I find myself today praying for the state of our nation, the presidential change over, and the international economic crises.  My heart is continuously heavy with the uncertainty that America is bending her knees and submitting herself and repenting for her abominations. If she continues her course, she will have to pay for the sin she has harbored and condoned. 

 

We are only looking at the beginning of the economic crises to hit America; much more is still to come.  It only takes a few minutes of listening to top economists and various blue chip corporation CEOs to get a feel for what is truly in store for 2009.  Many have warned of this day, David Wilkerson is one, he warned of this day in his book The Vision, I really recommend reading this truly God inspired book. It is surreal as you read the pages written in 1974 to only realize that you and I are currently living these very warnings that you read on the pages of this book.

 

The Lord has always had watchmen, or prophets for every generation, watching and warning society to change course or prepare for the consequence of sin. Our nation has been warned for a long time to turn away from her current path to destruction, but she has not yielded, only pushed the petal past the floorboard.

In past commentaries I have pointed out the idol of materialism and greed here in America. This is just one of the few that have position themselves as false gods within our society. Compare the shedding of innocent blood, lust, homosexuality, and blatant disregard for God (Elohay Elohim) and His righteous morals with the societies that have risen and within a spell fallen because one if not all of these life devouring, society damning abominations became the blood/sin craving anti-gods feeding the insatiable desire to void man’s soul from the eternal joy and freedom the only true God longs for every man to acquire. All of these sins have come though a pompous pride deceitfully blinding man to the truth we are accountable to God and God alone. Somewhere as a nation we have left this truth and now accountability has been replaced with an anything goes mentality, a society obsessed with binge sinning.

 

This continual disregard for God, continual disregard for His divine morals, and the continual flagrant disregard for the warnings of national repentance gone unheeded comes with a society destroying price tag, a debt that can only be written off through heart-felt repentance. America is playing with fire, an all consuming fire, the Creator of fire and the very elements that it consumes, if this disregard for the chance to correct our stance with God goes overlooked once again, we will get burned.

 

Too long America has listened to the false prophets of prosperity doctrine, to long America has listened not to the warnings of God’s watchmen, to long we as a nation we have been deceived by our own comforts and riches, face it even America’s poorest on average are 10x better off than 6 billion of our worldly neighbors. We have been led astray, we have relied on our comforts instead of the one true Comforter.

 

Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name; I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination (Pagan fortune-telling), and of worthless things, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. Jeremiah 14:13-15

 

Please seek the Lord our God and be not deceived by the false prophets who speak of peace and prosperity, these days have come and gone because of the nations disinterest with rightly giving praise for the hand that poured out these great blessings.  We have instead turned these blessings into a man made event and history has shown man without God is sure to fail. 

 

We are not left without options as we enter into 2009. We are left with the same options that man has had since time began, God or man.  Which option will you choose, which option will you share with your friend or family members, which option will you let your faith reside.  Every second lost is one second closer to judgment or for some redemption.  Choose this day who you will serve.  God Bless!  Daniel Eggers   

 

 

 

 

God Bless, and praise be to our Savior!  I have an encouraging verse today for those who will receive it.  Psalm 91:1, He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I pray you too find this to be a comforting verse.

 

3 weeks ago my wife and I were going through Sams to pick up a few items before our baby Emma was to be born, some last minute provisions you could say.  It was a Saturday, and if you are familiar with Sams and Saturday then you know that free samples are everywhere.  I told my wife we would make a point to try everything we could; because of course I love samples, especially when I haven’t had lunch yet. 

 

As we walked around trying the many different samples, we came to a woman who was handing out samples of yogurt, by this time my wife was about 37 weeks through her pregnancy, most people would ask when she was due, or whether it was a boy or girl, but this woman asked a different question. She said, “How do you spoil a child?” I responded with, “ Spare the rod, and spoil the child.” Her face immediately lit up with surprise and I knew I was talking to a sister in Christ.

 

As we continued to talk she instructed me to pray over our child everyday, and to look up Psalm chapter 91. We said God Bless to one another and my wife and I carried on our path for quenching my appetite for samples.

 

A few minutes later I was telling my wife that when one Christian tells another Christian of a verse in the Bible to check it out, you never know, God may have been using this person to share truth, peace, or even guidance, though the Word of God always seems to bring all three without hesitation. So as soon as we got home my wife looked it up.

 

As I began to ponder the first verse I couldn’t help but think about my secret place, my place where I direct my prayers to the Throne of God, the quiet place the Lord lays me beside the still waters, I immediately began to feel peace.

 

The peace began to flow through my spirit as I finished the rest of the verse, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. What a place to abide, in God’s shadow.  In order for a shadow to be present an object has to present. For us to abide in the shadow of the Lord, than the Lord must be present, this is the peace factor, the joy of knowing that the Lord is present.  But you can’t abide within the shadow of the Lord if you don’t dwell in your secret place over which the shadow of the Lord covers.

 

Our time alone with the Lord is invaluable and undeniably one of the most important areas of the Christian’s walk of Faith.  Without this time alone with the Lord we can become led astray, fooled by the principalities and wickedness of this world, fail to understand God’s will for our lives, the spiritually destructive effects upon our soul are endless when we fail to spend alone time with our Creator, our Savior, our Lord. If neglect of our alone time with the Heavenly Father will cause such spiritual repercussions, than with passionate observance the spiritual blessings are ultimately endless and eternally infinite.

 

In this day that we live we are consistently traveling through the valley of the shadow of death, where with the Lord we should fear no evil.  I challenge us all to spend more time, or if you don’t, start spending time with the Lord in a place of quiet isolation. Seek your Father as you would a lost friend, love Him as you would a loved one, and trust in Him unlike any other trust you have ever expended.  God is real, God is love, and God is truth.  Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened.  God Bless!  Daniel Eggers
