Words Matter : Tectonic Rift

| tue, june 29, 2010 |

Once again I present the following for prayerful consideration.

Last year, weeks before President Obama's Cairo speech, I felt urged within my spirit to pay close attention to the words that he would use in regards to the future of Jerusalem and the State of Israel. Since the Cairo speech I have continued to pay close attention to the words that the President and his representatives make in regards to the peace talks, Israel, and the future of Jerusalem.

I have continued to pray for guidance and direction from the Holy Spirit as I read Scripture and began to measure the events that surround us daily in light of what the Word of God has warned, all the while holding close to each and every promise I have found within His Word.

The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. Zechariah 12:1-3

The first time I read Zechariah chapter 12, I was immediately troubled and angered. I wondered why I had never heard a single pastor preach on the contents of this chapter and its relevance to not only the current events gripping the world's attention, but of events that have been taking place for the better part of twenty years now.

The first three verses of Zechariah clearly present a warning from JEHOVAH; one that I fear is too often overlooked by the evangelical community and one that I know without a doubt does not shape the policy of the United States of America in regards to the "peace process".

The warning is cut and dry. JEHOVAH is warning the nations of the world, "Burden yourself with Jerusalem and you will be cut in pieces, I will cut you in pieces," thus says the LORD.

It may sound simple, but these few verses in Zechariah chapter 12 continue to be my litmus test for evaluating the toxic steps this current US administration is taking against Jerusalem. Based on Scripture, the final outcome is certain.

"...when the Holy Land of three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them) joined in prayer." - BHO June 4th, 2009. Cairo Speech

Towards the end of the Cairo speech a dangerous course became apparent. Based on the words that President Obama used, his vision for the future of Jerusalem was not in line with the future that the Word of God clearly illustrates. Even more troubling was the fact that his vision doesn't seem to be born out of religious conviction or emotion, but one of conquest and personal achievement. It was the vision of a rebel and not of a humble man with respect and reverence for the will that JEHOVAH has already established for the future of Jerusalem. With each passing day, it has become even clearer that Obama's vision for Jerusalem is one met with judgment and not reward.

Since President Obama made his speech in Cairo, I believe that the Holy Spirit has led me to pay specific attention to certain words that are used by this administration. I don't know how to describe it and I know to some I will sound crazy, but as I read official statements made by the current administration pertaining to Israel, these certain words seem to jump off the screen. As these key words, for a lack of a better term, jump out at me, I also feel a sense of confirmation within my spirit that these words are important, though only after continued prayer and time do these words come into better perspective.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday rejected President Barack Obama's demand for a freeze on West Bank Jewish settlement construction... 6/1/09

Settlement freeze is a good example, with "freeze" being the key word.

Last year the big push on the PM Netanyahu led government by the Obama administration was to enact a "settlement freeze" in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. For months, Netanyahu deflected calls to "freeze" settlements and firmly affirmed his commitment to the continued growth of East Jerusalem, stating that East Jerusalem was off limits to any such freeze. But after months of increased tension and unrelenting pressure, thanks to the Obama administration, Netanyahu conceded in late November.

On November 25, Netanyahu announced that after much discussion with the Obama administration, a 10-month moratorium would be enacted in the West Bank under the guise of "a confidence building measure" by his administration for the renewal of peace talks with the Palestinians. Netanyahu's stance on a freeze in East Jerusalem remained solid.

Above is a very interesting 4-month radar loop, December 1, 2009 - March 27, 2010. Watch as 20+ storms seem to slam into Washington D.C. and the surrounding area shortly after PM Benjamin Netanyahu announced on November 25, 2009, a 10-month settlement freeze in the West Bank  after months of unrelenting pressure from the Obama administration. It looks like the breath of JEHOVAH is blowing across the land.

The key word "freeze" became apparent in the days, weeks, and months that followed here in the United States and even in many of the other nations that rallied behind the Obama administration to see a "freeze" enacted on the Israeli "settlements".

Many cities in various parts of the US and especially along the East Coast saw some of their worst winter weather ever recorded or at the minimum in decades. Many states had multiple sites break snowfall records, with Oklahoma even documenting its first blizzard and shattered its previous single day snowfall record at Will Rogers Airport. Washington D.C. was even shut down for several days because multiple storms buried the city in frosty judgment, even label snowpocalypse. At one point, 49 of the 50 states in the USA all had snow, with Hawaii being the only holdout.

It was then that the correlation between a demand for a "settlement freeze" and the awesome winter weather that resulted after the "settlement freeze" announcement on November 25th, that I began to pay even closer attention to the words that the Obama administration began to use as their push for proximity talks between Israel and the Palestinians moved into 2010.

Time and again the key words seemed to be associated with geology and meteorology. These words are continuously used by the Obama administration to describe the various steps they believe are needed for the resumption of Israeli and Palestinian peace talks and are often used as analogies to describe the condition of the alliance between Israel and the USA when talking to the public.

Here are a list of some of the words that jumped out at me and I will attempt to draw some connections to some of the words and events that have since transpired, though I do feel that some of these words are pointing to further judgments still upon the horizon.

  • Freeze (I already went into this word, but I don't believe that it is simply limited to bad winter weather. No one cannot limit JEHOVAH, nor can any one limit His judgments, we are merely capable of observing and understand the layers the Holy Spirit reveals. So I believe that just as much as the wild winter weather is connected to the "settlement freeze" demand, I also believe that there are many more levels or layers connected to the word "freeze" that I have yet to see or understand. Freeze in economic growth, freeze in building starts, Freeze in hiring, are just a couple more possible freezes that seem to fit also.
  •  Core
  • Rock Solid (or solid as a rock)
  • Unshakable (or unmovable)
  • Undermine
  • Atmosphere (often used with the word conducive)
  • Climate
  • Environment
  • 30,000 foot level
  • Wedge

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, State Department spokesman Phillip Crowley, and Vice President Joe Biden are just a few representatives of the Obama administration who have repeatedly used some of these geo and meteorological terms. Obama has also used some of these words and seems to be the influence behind such terms being used.

"Again, all I will say is that Jerusalem is a - is one of the core issues in the process. And the only way to resolve issues regarding Jerusalem is through direct negotiations." Philip Crowley 4/8/10

Core is one such geo-related term and is a word that the Obama administration uses to describe Jerusalem, often stating that Jerusalem is a "core" issue. Many times the Obama administration, through various officials, has reassured the Palestinians and International community that the future of Jerusalem should not be set in stone by any party, but should be decided in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. The Obama administration has never been shy to remind Netanyahu of this fact, this is one of, if not the biggest, reasons behind Obama's push to freeze Jewish growth in East Jerusalem. It is because of this stance that tensions between Washington and Israel reached an all time high proceeding the announcement of the 1,600 housing units in Ramat Shlomo back in March during a visit by VP Biden, as the Palestinians (and the Obama admin) see any development in East Jerusalem by the Jewish authority as an impediment to the future plans of East Jerusalem as the capital to the Palestinian State.

Core is also part of the word for Corexit 9500, the highly toxic dispersant that is being currently used by BP in the Gulf. It is said that over 1.5 million gallons of the dispersant has been used so far and will continue to be used. Don't know if there is a connection, but Corexit could be setting the stage for the larger judgments on the way.

The word core also flashes images of the inner workings of the Earth, the kind that result in volcanic activity. Iceland's recent volcanic activity interrupted travel, commerce, and blew a hot wind on an already shaky global economic recovery. During the April 14-19 timeframe, European air space was shut down because of the large amounts of ash from the Iceland volcano. Over 100,000 flights cancelled with some estimating that over $1.7 billion in damages resulted in lost revenue across multiple industries. The volcanic ash spread over much of Europe during Europe's Holocaust Remembrance Week (April 11-18).

Core also seems to be connected to the April 20th Deepwater Horizon accident that resulted in the still on going oil deluge. Oil is a by-product of pressure and heat. The core of the earth I would believe has some effect on the heat that is a contributing factor at some point in the process. (This may be a loose connection, though the Corexit does seem a bit firmer.)

I am certain that we have not seen the end of the "core" related events. I fully anticipate such activity will continue to increase as the nations of the world continue to ramp up pressure upon Israel to divide Jerusalem. This assessment is Biblically support by the plethora of scripture that points to the increased geo-related events of the end-times that we are currently in.

Regardless, Jerusalem will be at the core of what happens from here on out and as far as I am concerned, could very well be the center of the Universe.

"For President (Barack) Obama, for me, and for this entire administration, our commitment to Israel's security and Israel's future is rock solid." Hillary Clinton 3/22/10

"We have an absolute commitment to Israel's security. We have a close, unshakeable bond between the United States and Israel." Hillary Clinton 3/16/10

Rock solid (solid as a Rock, unshakeable, and unmovable) were terms used to describe the obviously not so rock solid relationship between the Obama administration and Netanyahu led government. Just saying it doesn't make it so. Growing up my father always told me, "Your actions speak louder than words." The actions of this administration have blared volumes about their lack of love for the Netanyahu led government of Israel.

It is my belief that the lack of a solid relationship and the continued erosion of what remains has helped move the United States of America into position to receive the due judgment that she has, without regret, heaped upon her own head.

JEHOVAH is a just and righteous judge. Without contradiction He judges according to HIS Word and abides by His promises. JEHOVAH promised Abraham that He would bless those who blessed him and curse those who curse him. The context of the scripture found in Genesis 12:3 is in regards to the nation that would come from the seed of Abraham, the nation of Israel.

This would seem to help explain the greatest years of blessing in the United States of America, as these years seem to coincide with the unconditional support for the resurrected nation of Israel in May of 1948.

With that said, blessing Israel doesn't cover or cause JEHOVAH to forget the millions of babies murdered in cold blood, the rampant homosexuality, the deprave moral state of the masses, idolatry, or various other forms of wickedness perpetuated by the inhabitants and government representation of the United States America (Babylon), but I do believe that it temporarily postpones JEHOVAH'S wrathful judgment from being poured out in full force.

I have often wrestled with the thought of how blessing Israel relates to staying off the hand of JEHOVAH'S judgment, being that there is plentiful evidence that cursing Israel seems to be met with judgment typically 12-24 hrs post curse. I believe that the USA cursing Israel while having amassed an immeasurable amount of unrepentant iniquity is similar to leveraging trillion dollar loans on thousands of dollars in the bank, except the United States of America, even if unknowingly, has systematically leveraged an immeasurable amount of iniquity against a promised blessing. Turning from the friend who blesses to the foe who curses has exposed the United States of America to the unimpeded hand of JEHOVAH. The inevitable result is a nation that had no foundation, nothing rock solid to place its foundation upon, and the outcome is a nation dually smashed under the awesome power of JEHOVAH'S righteous judgment and wrath, no longer held back by His promise of Blessing. Blessing Israel doesn't make the United States of America's sin okay, but it does seem to help in the grace period before the final judgment.

This theory, as a friend put it, seems to be proven even more by the fact that the top three major tornado outbreaks (and not just limited to the top three) this year have coincided with the Special Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell's trips to Israel as he attempted and successfully resumed peace talks, albeit proximity and not direct and better termed divide Israel talks.

George Mitchell in Israel 4/23/2010 Arrives in Israel in an attempt to start indirect talks.
#1 worst tornado outbreak of 2010 - 4/24/2010 Alahama / Mississippi

George Mitchell in Israel 6/4/2010 Meets with Netanyahu
#2 worst tornado outbreak of 2010 - 6/5/2010 Ohio Valley

George Mitchell in Israel 6/17/2010 Meets with Ehud Barak (on 18th meets with Abbas)
#3 worst tornado outbreak of 2010 - 6/17/2010 North Dakota / Twin Cities Minn.

All the wild atmospheric conditions that have resulted in tornadoes, floods, and heat waves this year seem to be connected to the use of words like, atmosphere, conducive, and wedge. The atmosphere in every example was conducive for severe weather and the word wedge describes the most destructive tornadoes, tornadoes that are wider than they are tall. The worst tornadoes this season have been the "wedge" variety.

"As we continue to strive for lasting peace agreements between Israel, the Palestinians, and Israel's neighbors, all sides should understand that our commitment to Israel's security is unshakable and that no wedge will be driven between us." Barack Obama 4/20/10

"Both parties are taking some steps to help create an atmosphere that is conducive to successful talks, including President Abbas' statement that he will work against incitement of any sort and Prime Minister Netanyahu's statement that there will be no construction at the Ramat Shlomo project for two years." Philip Crowley 5/9/10

"If you're signaling are we expecting a breakthrough through this visit, probably not. Are we trying to move the parties to a point where they agree to proximity talks and to begin to address the substance, the core issues of the process, we hope we're getting closer to that point? But there's still work to do." Philip Crowley 4/23/10

"In his meetings, Senator Mitchell is focused on actions they can take to improve the atmosphere for peace and how to move forward with proximity talks." Philip Crowley 4/23/10

And we believe that with Israelis and the Palestinian Authority coming together, making clear that a peaceful, non-violent solution that recognizes both the security needs of Israel as well as the legitimate aspirations of Palestinians is the right way to go, can yield real progress in the coming months.

And the United States is going to put its full weight behind those efforts.

I did share with President Abbas, in order for us to be successful in these next several months, that both sides have to create an environment, a climate, that is going to be conducive to an actual breakthrough.

And if we can over the next several months try to lift up what are the honest and legitimate concerns of both sides and if both Palestinians and Israelis can recognize that they have a common interest in moving off of what has been this dead end, then I believe that potentially we can make significant progress before the end of the year.  Barack Obama 6/9/10 (link)

Recently, in remarks that President Obama made at a joint meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the White House, he even added the words climate and environment to the mix. These words were used with the words breakthrough and next several months. I believe that he was describing the 2010 hurricane season and the environmental impacts of the oil spill and one can only hope the breakthrough he spoke of doesn't manifest itself in a judgment resulting in the oil or methane breaking through the Gulf seafloor has some have speculated. We shall see.

I believe that the word core wasn't the only one that seemed to point to the unprecedented Gulf oil deluge, I believe that several signs were given in the words by the Obama administration prior to the April 20th rig explosion such as undermine, rock solid, and 30,000 foot level.

On March 31st I posted Geo-Related Event in the Near Future? Based on prayer and the words that I observed being used by Obama officials, I felt strongly in my spirit that a major geo-event was going to take place. Looking back it is easier to see the connection with the words and the judgment.

Rock solid = the miles of rock that Deepwater Horizon had to drill through to reach the oil reserve. It is also the miles of this solid rock that is a large factor in the pressure that is placed upon the reserve that made it such a risky job and the same reason why all attempts to cap the well have failed.

Undermine = to dig under. The rig was drilling, or digging; through multiply layers of rock, mud, and sediment to reach the Macondo oil reserve. The Obama administration had warned the Israelis and Palestinians they would hold whomever accountable if one of the parties undermined talks. I find it ironic that accountability has been illusive in the wake of the Gulf disaster. First it was BP, then it was Obama, then it was BP, but it was the Obama administration that signed off on the approval for the well to be drilled. So I find it interesting that a rig approved by Obama, that undermined safety regulations and cut corners, is now in an accountability crisis of its own.

30,000 foot level = Based on what has been reported, the Macondo reserve is as deep, if not deeper, than 30,000 feet below sea surface. The true depth of the drilling operation has varied from 22,000 feet in some reports to 18,000 feet in others. But the Oil pocket itself is at least 30,000 feet deep. It was a US official who stated that the US was going to take the peace talks to a 30,000-foot level. (Whatever that means)

These are just a few very simplistic examples of various words that have been used in the Obama administrations assault on the Land of Israel and the judgments that followed. The Land of Israel is JEHOVAH'S and whether anyone likes it or not, certain promises have been made concerning that land and the nation that JEHOVAH prophesied and promised would come. How the United States of America addresses this fact and her immeasurable sin is the difference between life and death.

I believe that the words that are used by this administration and the resulting judgments are examples of being judged by the words of your mouth.

There is also the element of prophesying in ignorance, or the Caiaphas effect.

It was Caiaphas who unknowingly spoke of the will JEHOVAH had already established for His SON JESUS CHRIST.

Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. John 18:12-14 (emphasis mine)

I believe that PM Netanyahu did this when he made a speech to an audience honoring Israel's Memorial Day at national cemeteries about the honor and sacrifice connected to each life lost by a fallen soldier since the creation of the Jewish State.

"We extend one hand in peace to all our neighbors who wish for peace," Netanyahu said. "Our other hand grasps the sword of David in order to defend our people against those who seek to kill us." (emphasis mine)

You can read my thoughts on this here The Sword of David.

That makes a statement made by Israeli Ambassador to Washington Michael Oren a few days ago very interesting. Sources said Mr. Oren told foreign ministry colleagues at a private briefing in Jerusalem: "There is no crisis in Israel-US relations because in a crisis there are ups and downs. [Instead] relations are in a state of tectonic rift in which continents are drifting apart."

Could this be another example of a man prophesying in ignorance?

Mr. Oren has since denied that he used the word rift and said that he used the word shift that was most likely misinterpreted by the Israeli ear that reported his words.

A rift is one thing, but it is the shift of tectonic plates that really matter.

Earthquake? Soon?

God bless, daniel
