Tomorrow the "settlement freeze" in Israel
will be 9 months old. The "settlement freeze"
started November 26, 2009. Since, many parts of the United States experienced some of the worse winter weather on record,
including one of the worst winters in Washington D.C.
The
extension of this "housing freeze," set to expire on September 26, 2010, is one of the first concessions that the
U.S. (Obama administration) will be pressuring Israel (the Netanyahu administration) to make in order to keep the "peace
talks" on track[1]. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has already declared that he
will drop the negotiations if "settlement activity" is resumed.
Yesterday, the housing report for the United States of America showed that the sales of previously
owned U.S. homes fell dramatically, far more than the 12 percent that was expected in July, to a record 27.2 percent[2]. This dramatic percentage decline, from June to July, puts the existing homes sales at its lowest
pace since levels last seen in May 1995.
I
find it to be of no coincidence that as long as the U.S.A. fails to honor the Covenant that JEHOVAH made with Abraham and
his seed, calling "illegitimate" what JEHOVAH has called legitimate through divine Covenant, that our own housing
and economy continues to suffer greatly as a result.
With
the resumption of "peace talks" just eight days away, the real economic picture will continue to reveal an even
darker outlook for the U.S.A. The fact of the matter is this, as long as the United States of America is cursing Israel and
calling "illegitimate" what JEHOVAH has specifically called legitimate, even promising a blessing for those who
observe and act accordingly to the promise, there will be no economic recovery, but instead, economic ruin.
The economic reality is just one of many realities the United States
of America will be very shortly waking up to.
For
the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done (to Israel), it shall be done unto thee: thy
reward shall return upon thine own head. Obadiah 15
