Time With the Lord

| tue, november 4, 2008 |

The Lord is the true God, He is the living God, and an everlasting King: at His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide His indignation.

Command them that are rich in this present age, that they be not haughty, high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. For all the gods of the nation are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. So shall you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith He has girded Himself: the world also is established, that it cannot be shaken. He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His discretion.

Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you? When the Lord utters His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of His treasures.

Every man is dull-hearted in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They will be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, You are our gods. What profits the carved image that the maker thereof has carved it? The molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make mute idols? They are futile, and the work of errors: in the time of their punishment they shall perish.

As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel. For thus says the Lord, Behold, I will throw out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may find it so. And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would bring this calamity unto them. For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am mourning; astonishment has taken hold on me. Woe is me for my hurt! My wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.

Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is plundered: suddenly are my tents plundered, and my curtains in a moment. My tabernacle is plundered, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone from me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed My people; You have scattered My flock, and driven them away, and have not attended to them: behold, I will attend to you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord. For the pastors are become dull-hearted, and have not sought the Lord: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, saith the Lord: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you know not, neither understand what they say. O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps. For I am with you, saith the Lord, to save you: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered you, yet will I not make a full end of you: but I will correct you in justice, and will not leave you altogether unpunished.

O Lord, correct me, but with justice; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing. Pour out your fury upon the heathen that know you not, and upon the families that call not on your name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

I read the above scriptures this morning in my bible and prayer time, I wrote them in the order that I read. Pray, discern, and seek the guidance of our Heavenly Father. Today we choose life or death.

God Bless, daniel
